My experience in English class

Hello, today –in this last post-, I will, talk to you about the class of English of this semester. Well I have to say, that I missed a few (more than only few, really) classes, because I am the worse human being for the organizations, so I mixed all the things that I have to do and always it was end in a fail.

Anyway, for another hand, I like the atmosphere of the classes, because we could laugh, talk, said our opinions and be in a friendly scene (of course that all the things that I said, we have to do in English, obviously).

But, in totally honest, I think  that the English in the university (in general) it is no very useful, because, we don’t  graduate of English being bilinguals or something that, and the English that we have to learn  neither  teach us the technical  language that appears in the papers that we have to read for the classes of the career. So I think that the English class should to  point to one of this things, because I think that the administration try to do the two things (for better), but in the end it is worse.

Leaving aside that, I my opinion I have to practice and learn more vocabulary, because my repertoire it is so poor, and the thing like grammar I have to practice too. I feel that in the listening (or understand what try to tell me another person) I am not so bad, hahah.

About the blogs, I think that help us, to write with more propriety about the things, our hand “are releases” or at least a little bit.  We have to write so many blogs, that sometimes it was funny, but another time that was really tedious…

Well, with nothing more to tell you, I have to say goodbye to all of you… Have goods vacations! :D

News

Hello, today I will talk to you about a case of a woman who was abused by her husband. This is a case that is not so unusual, except for one reason… She calls Deborah and has 31 years old. Since 14 year ago that she was with her ex-husband, and since twelve years that diagnosed her with a neurological condition, so she started to dependent by her husband (because her disability)..

She felt like a freak, and her husband made the things worse: He constantly said her that she was a hindrance for him and for the rest of people and also said her that she was a "psychological vampire” that sucked his energy (he mistreated her psychologically), he also mistreated her physically (for example, deprived her of her basic needs –like food, hygiene, transport-, treat her with so much violence).

Well, time after, she obtains help of and organizations designed to help disabled survivors of domestic violence (DeafHope UK). And now she is fine.

Anyway, I think that this case is a reflex (an expression) of the violence and discrimination that we have as society, so we have to preoccupied to resolve the problem central (associate with this expression with domestic violence), because if we only “resolve” this isolated cases, we’ll be make a “palliative solutions’”, and we aren’t change anything. We have to understand that the problems are not only individuals, all the opposite, if we behavior is for an especially way, well that is because, we are always influence b y the “others” and society.. So I believe that we have to start to intervene for this point…

A Movie

Hello, today I’m talk about one movie that I have enjoyed. Well, there are too many good movies, but know it came to the mind a movie that call “Chain of favors”, starr by Haley Joel Osment.  I saw this movie long time ago, in the TV I think, one day when my sister told me that a good movie will pass in the TV that night… So I saw it.

The film is a drama and deal with a boy (little boy, like ten years aprox), with a dysfunctional family (only the mother, with problems with alcohol, and grandmother too). He’d to have a work to class and invented something (by the way, he has an excellent teacher, who cares about him and fell in love with his mom). So the kid invented something called “chain of favors”, that consisted in one person have to make three favors to three different persons, and the others persons have to continue with the chain (make a favor to others three persons)… then pass thing so sad, so I don’t telling you, because –for another hand- I’ll telling the final of the film. 

I really like the weft of the movie, in spite –or maybe include that- that is so tragic. But the thing of the movie that I most like is the invention of the “chain of favors”, because, I think is a great idea and I believe that the thing are changes if we help or stay with “the other”. 

Final test

Today I will talk to you about the quizzes that I have to do for prepared the final test of English four.  Well, the categories of the quizzes are: reading, vocabulary, language and listening. In the first you have to read some texts and match the correct alternative for the question about that.  The second one was about find the words correct to complete some sentences. In language you have to match some descriptions with a personage, and also you have write a letter for “a friend” named James. The last part is the Listening, here you have to listen some conversations and answers correct the question after the audio.

Well in reading and listening I have all of score, but in the others I commit some mistakes, above all in the part of vocabulary.

A present

Well, I’m gonna talk to you about a present that I received some time ago, that present is my bike. I choose these, because it’s really useful to me… The bike was of my sister, and I used that occasionally only, because she cares a lot of her bike.

With the pass of the time, she left the bicycle apart; she bought a car and never used the bike again.  However, she had in mind to sell the bike, so she cares about the bike even more (for not spoil or damage the bicycle). For this, I lose all my opportunities of ride the bike… So I have to translate walking (because the transantiago cost too much for my routes).

Anyway, for my birthday my sister ask me about the bike, she ask me if I like and if I really use the bicycle If I have that.  I told her that of course that I’ll use, and if I have money for buy one, I already have one… Pass a few days and my sister come to home with her bike and said me “it is your birthday present”. I was so happy, and I was very grateful with her.  Since that day I use the bike to go everyway. 

My first day in the University

My first day in the University was in March of 2011. Well, I don’t really remember all the thing, but  I remember that I’m a little nervous, because I’m a little bit shy, so I thought that I’ll a little miss in all this. That was only my thought, because the thing was different…

I came at University one day earlier, because we have a welcome and introduce about the things in the University (to guide by my companions that went in second that year). So, I came and I don’t know where the FaCSo are, and I go to the pasture and I asked to a group of students that stay having a good time there where were de faculty of social sciences (they were to the philosophy faculty). They tell me and I’m went…

When I was walking a bump whit a girl that I don’t know, but anyway we talk and we knew that are partners. So, we walk together to the FACSO and we joined whit our others classmates.  I remember that the first that I thought was that the names of my partners were a really estranges (like Luana, Jael, Eliacim, hahaha) xd… Well, we start to talk  between us and have a good time together, I miss my shy side thank this welcome and this is the way that I star my first day in the University.

Holidays of Semptember 18th

Hello, this time I am going to tell them to all about what I have done in the celebrations of Fiestas Patrias and, well, so that to speak about the most ancient if we can remember these that happened, that are more fresh. The truth is that I did not celebrate the week of holidays like “oh, the Fiestas Patrias”, but - in general with the people that I share also - it was well received like a week of holidays, with more "typical" things perhaps (like choripán, terremoto, more barbique, chicha, etc). 

For these holidays, my brother (who lives in Villarrica) came for Santiago, for the same, the weekend previous to 18 we went to see my dad, who lives in the country. It was quite entertaining, because the people that live there are very good to amuse themselves and to fool about. then we dance, laugh and ate a lot.

After Monday comes, we join in my house, with my brothers (Nati, Pachi, Hugo), my mom, Nico - the boyfriend of my sister - and Gisse, a friend of my sister. My family is quite ridiculous, so when we are together we join, explode in laughs and jokes … It Was very good, of that time on Tuesday we repeat it.

On Wednesday and Thursday I joined with my friends of the school (it did not see several long ago!), there we remember old anecdotes and well, spend it great. On Friday, we went to Peñaflor, to house of a friend, where we did a roast and took a lot of “terremoto”; for distance and hour we remain to sleep there, so on the following day I came as at seven o'clock to my house, I took a shower and had to go out again, since a very good friend was of birthday. That's why, finally I divided Pirque and my week was there same where I ended.

After all, what I can say about this one holiday, is that it was incredible =)

Francisca, my friend

Hello!

This time, I will talk to you about my friend Francisca, who really already is like a sister for me. I met Fran on having entered to kínder, she was quite shy, so we were not speaking very much; nevertheless, the time was happening and in first grade of primary  we were already related more, were playing, we were going  to her house or to mine, anyway … we Were growing together, happening for similar processes, sharing our surprises for the changes, our happy moments, losses, sadnesses, confusions, emotions and, well, all. During the whole school period we were class-mate, then she began to study midwifery and I began to study psychology; nevertheless, we see us a lot – it plays us in favor through that in fact we live very close, two blocks in facto hahaha - none is very good to speak neither for Internet nor for phone, so we do the time to ourselves to join and to put ourselves on the day of the things through that other one is living, if it is well, the family, etc.

I believe that what more differentiates to us the one of other one, is that Fran is a very rational person, she thinks enough the things before doing them, it is somewhat opposed to the leather contact, it is organized, arrange and very responsibly; on the other hand I, good, I am everything opposite. But I believe that that is good, since, we show ourselves different visions of the things and each one balances a bit to other one. =)

The first period of 2010

This time, I will tell them a little about how it was the beginning of the year for me.  Well, this year  began of quite strange form. Academically, we finish the second semester - I go in secundo year - at the end of March and we begin in April with the properly such second year. 

In spite of that, in the same way we had holidays, perhaps more annotated, but that took advantage to the maximum; for example, I went away two weeks for Coñaripe, which stays in the ninth region, it surrounds Panguipulli, Villarrica, Curarrehue, between others. It is a wonderful place, there I remained in tent in a small island that stays at the end of that place.

On the other hand, the beginning of the this year, as for the mobilizations students, was somewhat disorganized, be cause the fortitudes were not the best, one was feeling the weariness in all, nevertheless, either closer to half of year, we could organize ourselves better and began again with the works to keep on giving the fight and to manage, little by little the changes that we want for our educational system and, well, in fact for all the functioning of life of the system that we have nowadays.

It is as well as we come even nowadays, where we are a little better  and continue with the rhythm of things that, in some moment, saw suspended by the different adversities that we are.

Santiago.

Well, I am not a really fan of Santiago but I think it have a certain charm. For example, I rescue the accessibility that the this city –and all  big cities in general- have in compare with  others places (for example, mi brother  live in Curarrehue and  he really don’t have the  means to go easily  to any place, either to get an health service or to go a place and have a good time).  Also I like the differents visible sceneries that the city have, like the infrastructure mixed with the differents colors that appears in a day.
For another hand, I really don’t like the life style that we have in the city, be cause it’s –for me- so accelerated, with indifference for the others, worried only by them selves. I think  that in Santiago it’s disappear a little bit ( a huge little bit) the live with others, the socialization and the people its transformed  step by step in a kind of robots.

So, the only thing that I can tell you if you came to Santiago, is that you try to talk a lot with the persons, be cause you might discover  a lot of things, histories and persons so interesting, that  are worth  to know.

Julian Assange's Case

For me this is an unusual case, be cause I do not understand how it is that they criminalize a fact that - yes it is true, it can have violated certain norms – after all, didn’t have any more purpose that reveal situations of government that, certainly, affects all who belong to the society; and that on the other hand, there are committed so much injustices, violations of the rights, arbitrary handling of situations on the part of those who have the power (be already economic like administrative, although at present it is the same thing), without mattering for them more than your own well-being and profit, but that these are spent for high, justified and even, legitimized and "normalized". In this sense, I believe that exaggerated faults assume Assange and, again, of arbitrary form, to safeguard the interests of those who turned out to be harmed after the disqualification of certain documents, which, to me to seem, in many ocations were the real guilties.

 Continuing with this line, I think that the offering of the Ecuadorians, to give him political assignment is adapted, in my opinion is that - on having been blamed - the doors closed him immediately in its country and he turned out to be forbidden to exhibit its position at least so that the people not only were remaining with the version of the government; for the same - and considering its situation to be unjust - I believe that he needs this space to exhibit his points and to remove this image, falsified perhaps, that generate the television or newspaper about its case.
